OMG! I got some major ego boostin' today!
I was walking down the hallway of the hospital, and as a (male) colleague hurriedly passed me by, he said, "You are just getting more and more beautiful every time I see you!" I smiled and laughed it off, but wow! The brotha really made my morning!
Then, in the afternoon, here we go again! More praise and adoration!
Lunch is served to the clinical staff at the community hospital, so the lounge is buzzing with people between 11am and 2pm during the week.
Today, I happened to find a seat at a table with Ken, the hospital CFO, and Jake, the pharmacy director, two pretty cool and personable pilgrims*.
When I sat down, Ken said, "Hey, you've done something different with your hair! I really like it!"
"Yes," I said, "I have. Thanks."
"Well it really looks good," he said.
Then the Jake chimed in, "It's really cute, Dr. D."
OoLaLa!

Congratulations on the comments from the fellas. Try to get used to it. I've had my locks for over a year and people still rave about my hair...men and woman. In the beginning, it was really nice...and still is sometimes...but I get tired of my hair being the focal point. The principal at the facility where I work cannot walk past me EVER without saying "I love it". He is not a quiet person, so heads always turn when he says it and then the questions begin. I find that I get many more compliments when it is older and in need of being retightened. Anyway, enjoy the attention from the men and hopefully your husband is not of the jealous nature. Much Love, Nihuru
I remember my first male comment lol think I even blogged about it. It's crazy when people you thought hated the natural naps are raving about your locks. I love it!
